System
The Robotany automated watering system is a smart and connected solution tailored to your gardening needs.
It’s designed for indoors or outdoors use as long as it stays in the range of a power source and wifi signals.
There is also an accompanying app that works on multiple devices that lets you control your system.
The Robotany system is a small enough system that enables you to hide it away out of site behind a bench or beside your cultivation plot.
From there you can connect multiple small water tubes from the base to your different plants so that you won't need to water them by hand any more.
With the water connections in place you can control the watering from the app or by letting the base system automatically decide to water on its on.
For this you need only to place a sensor near your plants the base system will get notified when it's time to begin watering, ensuring that the plants never dry up.
Automation
The plant sensor continuously measures the plant soil and sends this data wirelessly to the main hub throughout the day. The sensor which is battery powered will generate energy from the built in solar panels when sunny, allowing it to remain functional for a longer period of time. But when the battery gets depleted though it can be replenished by connecting it to power via usb c.
The hub receives data from the sensors and compares the incoming data to the configured optimal soil moisture for the different plants. If the base determines that a plant's soil moisture is too low, the base will then begin to pump out water to the plant in need of water.
The base consists not only of powerful hardware and intelligent software, but has also a defined capacity of water that it can hold. When the water container is depleted it will alert the user that it needs to be replenished. A combination of water and plant nutrition could provide the most effect
